OUR MOTIVATION

Children are full of hidden talents. While this indeed applies to all children, the talents of too many children, especially underprivileged children, remain hidden throughout their years as primary-school students. We discover and foster these dormant talents in the spirit of Pestalozzi: with our school camps, follow-up programs, and innovative approaches to teaching. To achieve our goals, we also enlist the dedicated service of leading individuals from science and culture. That's because we're convinced that education is the best way to enable people of all kinds to participate in and contribute to a flourishing society. This is what we strive for day in and day out. And thanks to the generous support of our donors, we continue to make progress.

ABOUT US

The Pestalozzi School Camps Foundation was established in August 2019 by Dr. h.c. Henri B. Meier, who held not only senior positions at the World Bank, at Roche and in the healthcare industry, but also has a long-term commitment to education. In addition to the business school at the HSG, Henri B. Meier therefore launched the Pestalozzi School Camps Foundation to give primary school students new access to enable science and art. The foundation is based in Basel and is responsible for the Pestalozzi School Camps, which are carried out in close cooperation with the cantonal education departments.
